☑ Gluten free   ☑ Dairy free   ☑ Refined sugar free   ☑ VeganFullSizeRender3

Australian Christmas is a beautiful thing. No, we don’t have fun Christmas sweaters and snow… But we’re also not freezing and get to enjoy our Christmas day out at the beach or in the sunshine. This Christmas spice icecream recipe lets you enjoy those warming Christmas spices while staying cool in the Aussie sun. And if you live in the colder climate during Christmas… Crank up the heat and eat icecream anyway… because it’s always a good time for icecream!

  • 3 ripe frozen bananas (chopped into pieces)
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp of orange zest (or more if you like it… don’t skip this step!)
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • Some Loving Earth vanilla bean powder or vanilla essence

Optional toppings:IMG_0328

To make iecream:

  1. Add your chopped, frozen bananas into a Nutribullet cup or a food processor or high speed blender with your cacao powder, orange zest (made by grating an orange with cheese grater), ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and vanillaIMG_0327
  2. Process until it’s the consistency of soft serve icecream. You MAY need to add a b
it of water or coconut milk to help it blend depending on what blender you are using, but be careful not to add too much. Give it a stir if it’s not blending well. I find my nutribullet blend it very well with the cross blade (:
  3. Pour your icecream into a bowl and top it with delicious topping! I used a date truffle, some coconut flakes and Loving Earth Buckinis! YUM!
